Mapping of dangerous geological objects and processes at the Northern and Central parts of the Barents Sea shelf according to the hydroacoustic data from RV “Akademik Nikolai Strakhov”

Mapping of dangerous geological objects and processes by hydroacoustic methods is being intensively developed in the areas Arctic shelf Russia. Considerable experience has been accumulated identifying these compiling thematic maps showing their properties, spatial distribution correlation with tectonic structures. A large amount data development economic activity make it necessary to develop a methodology for maps, design legends an approach updating them. The paper presents map samples compiled according RV “Academik Nikolai Strakhov” expeditions.
